Valentines Day Red Hearts Checker board Nail Art Tutorial
Hello everyone! Valentines Day is approaching! It's approaching real fast! But, I don't want it to come because I wanna keep doing Valentines nail art! I want more hearts! More pretty colours! More cute designs! Don't go Valentines Day, don't go! I guess I still have some time to go, so for now lets enjoy this tutorial for these pretty checker board heart nails!
I actually had a bit of a tough time figuring out the best way to do the checker board pattern, it took some experimenting and a lot of failure, but I think that this is the best method (or at least the best method that I have tried). The polishes that I used were Revlon Red by Revlon and Spirit from the Revlon Top Speed range.
Alright! To start off paint all your nails white, all of them! Then take a teeny-eeny-weeny lil' nail art brush and some red nail polish and divide the nail into four sections.
Next, fill in two sections which are opposite to each other in red for a checker board effect.
Now, paint one red heart on each white section. To paint a heart just make a v shape with the tips rounded.
Then on the red sections paint a white heart, and voila! Cute checker board nails with hearts for Valentines Day.
I think that these nails almost look a little like a lady bug, for some reason. Wouldn't it be cute if Lady-bugs had hearts on their wings instead of spots? Then they would be love-bugs! Anyway, these look so cute for Valentines Day, and they are very geometric and symmetrical! I hope that you all enjoyed these nails and if you're looking for more Valentines nail-inspiration then you can find it here! I wanna know what you guys think! Have you done checker-board nails before? What will you be wearing on your nails this Valentines day? Let me know what you think right here in the comments or on Instagram and Pintrest (my username is thegoodnailsblog).
May your nails be good
