Sally Hansen Miracle Gel 'All Chalked Up' (Easter number 2) Purple Nail polish swatch and Review

Image
Hi everybody! We sure are close to the end of this list , huh (read about said list here )? And Easter is juuuuust around the corner as well, and it is a very short corner, Easter is super close! Right now I have some Easter baking going on as well as some Easter nails (good combination, right?)! I'm pretty excited for these last swatch and reviews, because of course, these are the top two! Today we are looking at another polish from the Miracle Gel range by Sally Hansen, which has got a bunch of things that I really like about it, especially that brush! This polish is called All Chalked Up and it's quite a interesting shade that you may recognise as a close dupe for  Spring Fling , by Sinful Colors. This is pastel purple that is super, super light! It looks almost like it's only just purple; but I love that! It's a very subtle and soft look on the nail which is very unique and very beautiful! Definitely a favourite of mine for Easter as it is a really cool take on...

Sinful Colors 'Beaches and Cream' (Easter number 3) Yellow Nail Polish swatch and Review

Image
Hi guys! It's really getting down to the wire here in this series (details and facts for this series can be found here )! Three polishes left! That's not many at all! One of my favourite colours ever to wear for Easter is yellow! It's such a bright and happy colour, and pastels of course, are another Easter essential for me, so as you can imagine, a pastel yellow would be just about be perfection! Well, today we will be looking at a polish that has both of these elements. This polish is Beaches and Cream, which is a lovely pastel yellow polish. I would say that this is a little different to any old pastel yellow; this can be described as a pastel lemon yellow (ooh!, if you mix the colour up into the name, you could have a polish called 'lemons and cream'!)This is another beautiful soft shade for the Easter season and it's unique as well! Gotta love a unique polish!  Another interesting little thing that I noticed about this polish is that there is...

French Tip Stamper-Marble Nail Art Tutorial

Image
Hello guys! How are you all going? I have competed and posted all of my St Patricks Day posts, not sure how I feel about that though; happy? Sad? Excited for new things to come; yeah, it's probably that one but I still miss green and clovers and gold! And, I think you guys should be excited too, because there are lots of great things to come! But, I'm also gettin pumped for Easter! Yes, I know it's still a month away but excitement is still in the air and it's gonna stay in the air until Easter is here! These nails are a celebration of pre-Easter excitement making use of pretty pastel colours and a stamper-marble effect (yay!). Oh and bonus, they are easy! Do you see what I mean when I say they are Easter-air-excitement-inspired (a bit clunky to say out loud but a true description nonetheless)! Oh boy do I love pastels! The polishes that I used for these nails were David Jones Sourise and Revlon Enchanting, as you can see a pretty pair of pastel purple (well, more li...

L'oreal Infalliable Gel Nail Polish Pastels Swatch and Review (Boxing Day Haul Part 4)

Image
Hello everybody! What's up today? Here in thegoodnails world we are coming to the final installment my Boxing Day Haul Series. It sure was fun making a series, I wanna do it again soon! For our final installment I will be sharing some of my favourite finds from Boxing day; L'oreal Infalliable Gel pastel nail polishes! But, why am I so excited about these polishes, you ask? Well, for a start I LOVE pastels, I can't get enough of them! The second reason is that I had been eyeing one of these polishes (Marshmallow Power, especially) online, and was beyond belief when I found them tucked away in a clearance section, it was fate! If you aren't familiar with the Infalliable Gel range from L'oreal, these polishes are 5ml and come with a top-coat that is also to be used as a base coat. Each of these top/base coats are to only be used for the polish that they come with. Three polishes are apart of a pastel trio, the other one being one of the earlier releases from this...

Sinful Colors Swatch and Review (Boxing Day Haul Series Part 3)

Image
Hello everyone! I'm back today with another instalment in my Boxing Day Haul Series. This time were lookin at some swatcheroos from Sinful Colors! Two of these are from Kylie Jenner collections and one is from the pastel neon matte collection. I love the polishes from the 'trend matters' Kylie Jenner collection, and I'm always happy to add one to my collection, especially a yellow! Now, here we go with the swatches! Let's start by looking at the pastel neon matte, It's an interesting combination; pastel+neon+matte. This one is called Under The Inbluence. The formula is quite thick and difficult to use, so the finish is still a bit streaky even at three coats. The colour doesn't really end up screaming neon to me; it's like a 2/5 on the brightness scale. Overall, this polish isn't the best. Oh, ho ho. This polish is my jam! When I looked on the bottom of the polish to find out what it was called, the sticker was missing, gasp! Luckily, I did a...

David Jones Nail Polishes Swatch and Review (Boxing Day Haul part 2)

Image
Hello again! Thanks for joining me in the secind installment of my boxing day haul series! This will cover a swatch and review of some Nail Polishes I picked up from David Jones. There are two smaller yellow polishes, one of which is pastel and the other is neon, and a three-pack of polishes. To my annoyance, none of the polishes in the three pack are named. Damn, I love reading the names of nail polishes! Ah, there they are! Oh man, that looks like an egg yolk! This is called Makia. It's a really bright neon yellow, even with no white base, but man! The formula does NOT self level very well, so it makes the polish look streaky and patch and lumpy if you don'y apply the polish with the utmost care (which, I unfortunately did not). Three coats is shown. This is the pastel yellow. I think its called 'sourise', but I can't read the super fancy writing on the label, that's just my guess really. This polish also had a leveling issue, not as bad as the...
