Green Abstract Dry-brushing Nail Art Tutorial (St Patricks Day)

Image
Hiya guys! Today is my very last St Patricks Day nail art tutorial before I start moving into nails for any old time of the year! This tutorial is a good transition coz' it's kinda neutral; if you use the right colours it's a St Patricks Day manicure but if you use other colours it can just be a mani for any time of the year. Oh! And you guys will not believe what has happened (it's not good news, I don't know why I made it sound like good news) I have had TWO breaks on my nail! Two and two days in a row. One broke when it got stuck in a draw (the draw that hold my nails polish collection no less) and one the victim of a bread knife while I was slicing bread! So, yeah, I had to shave down my nails a fair bit, and this was all after they were re-growing when they broke a week ago! I, know I know, It's quite a tale! But they'll get back to they're original state eventually.... When I mixed the light green polish (Sinful Colors Innocent) and the dark g...

St Patricks Day Nail Art Tutorial; Gradient Clover Nails

Image
Hi again everybody, and happy St Patricks Day (again)! Today I welcome you all to my second last nail art tutorial for St Patricks Day! And guess what? More clovers! Yay, clovers, yay! Y'know, I didn't get do to that many tutorials for St Patricks Day, well, not as many as I usually end up doing for holidays! It's coz' I started late, well, actually, I started early, then I thought I was too early so I waited, but then I waited too long and it ended up being too late! Gah! It's a viscous cycle, innit? I definitely wanted to do some sort of gradient-y nails for St Patricks Day, but now I regret not doing it in green and gold! That is just such a cute combination for St Patricks day! The nail polishes that I used for these nails were; Revlon Jaded Night, Sally Hansen White On and Sinful Colors Innocent . The first step is to paint your nails with a coat of black or white nail polish to serve as a base for the gradient. Next, using a latex-free makeup sponge,...

St Patricks Day Nail Art Tutorial: Gold and Green Diagonal Clover Nails

Image
Hi guys! Happy St Patricks day to everybody in the southern hemisphere! I can't BELIEVE that it is already St Patricks Day! I still have St Patricks Day nail art tutorials to do! But, still, I am gonna do 'em,  mark my words! Anyway, today I am sharing one of them! I love clovers, I think that they are the cutest things in the world! I feel like I haven't done enough clover themed St Patricks Day nail art tutorials, so this manicure is based off of my burning desire to put clovers on my nails, even if they are only three-leaf clovers (I feel like my four-leaf clovers always look like green flowers)! Whoa! I'm sorry that my photos turned out so dark, I'm not sure why though; it's a mystery! I like the diagonal effect of these nails; I kinda just did 'em on a whim; y'know experimenting and such, but I think that they look cool! The polishes I used for these nails were Sinful Colors Innocent and an unnamed gold Boe polish. My...nails.....were...so...

Hey guys! How are you all going? Today I'm really happy to be getting back to a nail art tutorial, it's been ages since I have done one of these because the Top Ten Nail Polishes to Wear this St Patricks Day series was occupying all of my time! I wanted to share a simple and fun nail art tutorial which you can use to showcase some of your favourite shades for St Patricks Day! Oh, and by the way my nails are super yellow in the photos because I did this tutorial after swatching all ten of the polishes on the list, I shoulda' used a french manicure polish underneath or something.....sorry guys! So, I wanted to do this tutorial because I think that dots are sooo much fun! Also, I wanted to showcase some of my favourite shades for St Patricks Day but all in one manicure (this is the best thing for when you can't decide what polish to wear; you can have your polish and wear it too, does that phrase work? If it does I am totally gonna use it again!). In this tutorial I ...

Hi everybody. Today is both a sad and a happy day, as this is the last polish on my Top Ten Nail Polishes to Wear this St Patricks Day series (read all 'bout that here ).  But, I don't wanna be sad! I wanna celebrate, coz' this list was a journey, with lot'sa hard work put into it. Y'know, me being a bit of a worry-wart, was worried that I would not be able to finish this list in time for St Patricks Day, but here I am, victorious! The final polish on this list is one that is quite special to me. Why, you ask? Coz' it's number one on this list; that's why! Look! It's Innocent by Sinful Colors! This colour is an absolute St Patricks Day classic; when I think about my collection  and nail polishes for St Patricks day, this is without a doubt the first thing that comes to mind. Sally Hansen 'Green thumb' (St Patricks Day number 3) Green nail polish Swatch and Review

Image
Hiya! Boy, is today an exciting day. Well, my nail broke again last night, so that's not exciting (AT ALL!) but I am not concentrating on that; I'm thinking about the fact that we are in the TOP THREE! Isn't that exciting? I'm right to be excited, aren't I? This list is so full of green nail polishes that I don't think that you guys will want to see another green nail polish swatched for about a year (cough cough, next St Patricks Day, cough),  but the upside is that they are all really amazing polishes to wear for St Patricks Day, so I hope that list has given you some nail-inspiration! Anyway, I thought it would be nice to have a little emotional spiel here given that we are in the top three now, but I'll get into the swatch and review not; no more rambling, I promise! Oh, and if you don't know what this list is, click here for all the info you need! This polish is called Green Thumb and it is also from the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear range (if you d...

OPI 'Jade is the New Black' (St Patricks Day number 4) Green nail polish swatch

Image
Hi everyone! We really are getting so close to the end of the list; it feels unreal (no, seriously, is this a dream?). We have already dived into the depth of six fantastic nail polishes to wear this St Patricks Day! I am really glad that I chose to do the list this way; it is so much more interesting to get into what makes each and every nail polish special, because each and every nail polish is special. With that little monologue outta the way let's take a deep dive into the number four polish on our list. Actually! I take it back! I don't wan't to take a deep dive into this polish; it's too dark and murky and I won't be able to see anything! Okay, okay, I know it's not a literal deep dive, I'ma just jokin' around! This beautiful polish is Jade is the New Black by OPI. And, the name says it all really; OPI has done my job for me in describing the colour and now I feel like I'm lazy, but I will still try and get into it a bit more! The colour i...

Revlon 'Golden Charm' (St Patricks Day number 5) Gold Nail Polish Swatch and Review

Image
Hellooooo! There are 5 'o's on that 'hello' coz' guess what? We are at number five on the top ten nail polishes to wear this st Patricks Day (which, you can read about  here )! It's so exciting, but it's sad coz' I don't really want this series to end! But, in my all of my nattering about this list, I have not even realised that St Patricks Day is approaching really fast! I got sooo many posts to get out there so I better get going! Y'know, I really do not think that think this list could ever be complete without a gold polish; it just wouldn't be right! So, therefore I will now reveal; number five on the top ten nail polishes to wear this St Patricks Day is Golden Charm by Revlon! This polish is so stunning! Gold nail polishes always tend to dazzle with their glitz and glamour and sparkle, sparkle, sparkle, but Golden Charm really stands out to me! It's unique because it is not just a plain gold; it has silver shimmer as well, causi...

Sally Hansen 'Mint Sorbet' (St Patricks Day number 6) Green nail polish Swatch and Review

Image
Hi guys! Number six, huh! Are you guys enjoying this series ? I sure hope that you are? Today I am sharing with you one brand (and line in particular) that I love; Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear! I love this line of polish because it is so consistently good and so consistently p-r-e-t-t-y! This polish I picked up a while ago and fell in love with the subtle and beautiful colour. I'ma now not say too much and give it all away and hop into the review and swatch with rabbit like agility (get it, coz' rabbits hop)! This polish is called Mint Sorbet and it's from the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear range ( but you knew that already, coz' I've got a big mouth and couldn't help mentioning that already). The colour is very subtle; it is a light green, but it almost looks white, as if the base is a white with only a lil' bit of green thrown in there. It's so cute and subtle and it's pretty, and innit that a good thing? Also, I think it's unique! You don't s...

Sinful Colors 'Jade Kat' (St Patricks Day number 7) Green Nail Polish Swatch and Review

Image
Hello guys! Welcome to the latest swatch and review in my Top Ten Nail Polishes to Wear this St Patricks Day series!  This here is swatch and review number 7 out of 10, I hope you are enjoying every instalment of the series as much as I am! So far we have been looking at polishes that are very unique in colour, but we haven't really looked at anything sparkly' and pretty and glamorous....until now! So, taking our number seven spot is the shimmery beauty; Jade Kat by Sinful Colors! Jade Kat is a emerald green polish packed with shimmer, and really, it's a gem (get it; emerald-gem)! Innit gorgeous and sparkly! I love sparkly things, I am instantly attracted to them! The polish may look a little blue-toned, but that's only because the shimmer is prominently blue in colour. Ahh! This is just such a pretty polish! But, and I really don't like the use of that word, it does take three coats to build it to full opacity. When I was swatching it, it looked prett...
