Mud 'Pinkalot' Pink Nail Polish Swatch and Review

Image
Hi everyone! I'm back today with another swatch and review (yay!) to share with you all! For some reason in the winter pretty much all I feel like wearing on my nails is blue: blue, blue, blue, blue, blue! Lately I have been blue MAD! But, today we are looking at a pink polish with a fabulous name, that as a lover of pink nail polish I thoroughly approve of: Pinkalot by Mud. Now this polish is kind of an odd one, it kinda had me a little confused: it's matte-ish and neon-ish which is kinda weird. But hey! It's pink! It's got a cool name and it's by Mud so I am excited to get into the review! Here we have this gorgeous hot pink shade that, I tell you, I fell in love with at first sight. It's such a pretty bright colour, so bright that I think it's almost neon, but not quite. It's just got a little pinch of neon. Just a tad. It's a great shade if you want something neon, but not super duper in your face bright. I don't know that I have really ...

Just a Random Manicure: Sinful Colors 'Blue La La' with Sally Hansen 'Golden Rule' and Matte Top Coat

Image
Helooooo everyone! How are you today? I am sorry for my lack of presence lately, I have been a busy little bee and now I seem to have picked myself up a cold! But, I am here now with a new instalment of my new series Just a Random Manicure (hey, that's two news!). Since my nails broke really badly (and by really badly, I mean really, really badly), I haven't really been doing anything pretty with them. I took off the false nails that I had on before and have been taking care of them thoroughly, trying to get them to grow back out. I can't remember the last time that they broke SO bad! Anyway, they have grown a bit, so I decided to paint them in celebration! Since it's winter now (brrr, it's cold!), I wanted to do something with blue and since I recently picked up Sinful Colors Blue La La, which I have been after for ages, It was a perfectly perfect opportunity to use it! Ooh, isn't that a pretty colour? I am just in love with this kind of cornflower blue! ...

Sinful Colors 'Savage' Teal Matte Nail Polish Swatch and Review

Image
Hello again everybody! Today I am sharing a swatch of a beautiful polish from a brand that I adore; Sinful Colors! I got my hands on this guys a few months ago, it was in the clearance bin for a dollar! Hooray for the clearance bin, hooray! This polish is called Savage. It is a teal colour and dries to a matte finish. Cool! I have never seen that combination of colour and finish in a polish before! One thing that Sinful Colors always impresses me with is their matte formula; from Kylie Jenner to Kandee Johnson it has never once disappointed me and this is no exception. It glides onto the nail smoothly, like butter, and reaches opacity in two coats. I also noticed that is seems to dry quite fast, bonus! This is what the polish looks like shiney! Shine bright polish, shine bright. One thing that I should mention is that this polish was very hard to capture with accuracy as to the colour, so I had to use a photo editing tool to get it looking closer to real life. I worked on i...

Sinful Colors Swatch and Review (Boxing Day Haul Series Part 3)

Image
Hello everyone! I'm back today with another instalment in my Boxing Day Haul Series. This time were lookin at some swatcheroos from Sinful Colors! Two of these are from Kylie Jenner collections and one is from the pastel neon matte collection. I love the polishes from the 'trend matters' Kylie Jenner collection, and I'm always happy to add one to my collection, especially a yellow! Now, here we go with the swatches! Let's start by looking at the pastel neon matte, It's an interesting combination; pastel+neon+matte. This one is called Under The Inbluence. The formula is quite thick and difficult to use, so the finish is still a bit streaky even at three coats. The colour doesn't really end up screaming neon to me; it's like a 2/5 on the brightness scale. Overall, this polish isn't the best. Oh, ho ho. This polish is my jam! When I looked on the bottom of the polish to find out what it was called, the sticker was missing, gasp! Luckily, I did a...

Sportsgirl Nail It! Scented and Matte Nail Polish Swatch and Review (Boxing Day Haul Part 1)

Image
Hello, everybody! I promised you guys in my previous post that I would share with you my boxing day bargains and give 'em a swatch! Weeel, here I am with the first part of my swatchin' for boxin' (day). Just kidding, that's not the title.Unless, y'know, you guys want it to be, in which case consider it done :) As you can see, I picked up three polishes from Sportsgirl. They were fifty percent off, with an 50 per cent discount so they ended up being around $2.50 AUD a pop. When I took these babies home and peeled off the sticker with the discounted price on it, I almost screamed because lying underneath that innocent lookin' sticker was the word 'scented'. God, guys, when I wore Revlon's scented polish it my nose was constantly itchin, it stank so bad. It was so awful I couldn't keep the thing! While I was sceptical at first, I actually thought these polishes smelt really nice! They didn't trigger any allergies or anything at all! Here are...

Sally Hansen Satin Glam Sun Sheen Nail Polish Swatch and Review

Image
Hello guys! Merry Christmas to you all! I hope that your special xmas day is amazing and filled with beutiful memories! On this holiday, I bring you a swatch and review of another polish that I recently acquired. This package arrived yesterday and I wanted to share with you all this fantastic nail polish! This is Sun Sheen from the Sally Hansen Satin Glam collection! I am a total orange lover, but I think that even if your not, you'd still love this polish because it's packed full of sparkes. One thing that I noticed is that it takes AGES to dry if you work in thick coats, the best way to work with this polish is to do two thin coats, like, as thin as possible. The polish dries to a satin matte finish, but you can still clearly see all the shimmer and sparkle in there! Some polishes with any kind of matte finish can be very difficult to work with, but this goes on smoothly.  If this finish isn't your cuppa tea, just slap a coat of top coat on there and badda-bing-badd...
