Sally Hansen 'Mint Sorbet' (St Patricks Day number 6) Green nail polish Swatch and Review
Hi guys! Number six, huh! Are you guys enjoying this series? I sure hope that you are? Today I am sharing with you one brand (and line in particular) that I love; Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear! I love this line of polish because it is so consistently good and so consistently p-r-e-t-t-y! This polish I picked up a while ago and fell in love with the subtle and beautiful colour. I'ma now not say too much and give it all away and hop into the review and swatch with rabbit like agility (get it, coz' rabbits hop)!
This polish is called Mint Sorbet and it's from the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear range ( but you knew that already, coz' I've got a big mouth and couldn't help mentioning that already). The colour is very subtle; it is a light green, but it almost looks white, as if the base is a white with only a lil' bit of green thrown in there. It's so cute and subtle and it's pretty, and innit that a good thing? Also, I think it's unique! You don't see a heck'a lot'a shades like this, I know that I haven't!
Now, now, now It's formula time! The formula; it's really good! I like it! Especially for such a light colour; it gets fully opaque in two coats which is awesome! But- there is but one flaw in the formula of this polish. If you overwork the polish then there is a possibility of getting really obvious light spots and patches. This only happened to me on one nail when I was doing my swatch pictures, but you would definitely need to cover that up with another coat if it happened. Also quick brush and bottle review; coz' I think most of you guys will be familiar with it. The bottle is a unique classic; it's quite small with a slight curve and a slightly curved cap. The brush is a really great brush; it's not too big or small and easy to apply to a pinky finger or smaller nail beds. If you wanna see how this polish applies, then you can watch my live application here!
I really like this polish! I really do! I reckon it looks amazing and subtle on it's own, but would also make a great base for nail art or for a really fun glitter! Although there is a slight flaw in the formula it is perfect for St Patrick's Day and definitely deserving of a place on this list. If you guys have no idea what list I am talking about click here to make me make sense (I take it back, it's impossible to make me make sense). But I would love to hear your thoughts! Do you love the Xtreme Wear range? Do you have any colours like this? Would you wear this on St Patricks Day? Let me know here in the comments or on Instagram and Pintrest (my username is the goodnailsblog)!
May your nails be good and lucky
