Comparison: Sally Hansen 'B Girl' and Rimmel 'Breakfast in Bed' Green Nail Polish Comparison

Image
Hi everyone! I am sorry that it has been, like, forever! My workload is kind of crushing me at the moment, and that nail that I tried to fix broke, like real bad. At the moment, I have filed them all down and put a set of false nails over them hoping that they will grow out nice and strong underneath! Anyway, this post is kinda like going back in a time machine (wouldn't it be nice to have an actual time machine?) for me, because it's from a time before my poor little nails broke! I recently picked up a bunch of polishes and as I was going through them (which is the natural thing to do when you get a whole bunch of new polishes), one looked strangely familiar to me. So! Eventually I realised, it reminded me a WHOLE lot of Sally Hansen B Girl. It is the Rimmel polish ' Breakfast in Bed'. Of course, I felt the instant need to compare them, and, well, that's how this post came about! WOW! That Sally Hansen Miracle Gel looks like a giant compared to that teeny litt...

Fall/Autumn Diagonal Dot Nail Art Tutorial

Image
Hiya guys! I am so sorry that it has been a while; it's been a number 11 on the business scale of 1 to 10 for me lately, but I'am BACK! As of late I have been longing to do some more fall/autumn nails; y'know, while it's still actually Autumn. As it turns out, I really have no talent for autumn leaf nail art, so I have had to TOTALLY change track.I really wanted to use those key autumn colours for this one; y'know; red...yellow..orange; those colours! So, the very specific colours that I used for these nails were Revlon Red by Revlon, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Sun Kissed and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Teeny Bikini. As you can see, I did 2 of my nails (pinky and pointer) in red and then the middle yellow and ring finger orange. Ok! So, since all the dots are different colours for different bases, I will be doing this tutorial for the red nails, and then I'll adapt it later for the others. To start, grab a medium sized dotting tool and create a diagonal lin...

Ciate Mini 'Hopscotch' Orange Nail Polish Swatch and Review

Image
Hello everybody! I have yet another exciting post today (they just keep coming right?!) as today marks both the first Ciate swatch and review and the first ever swatch and review of  mini nail polish! Both of those things, all at once! Actually, this is the very first Ciate polish that I have ever tried, so I am looking forward to sharing my very first thoughts on this brand! Also, I am looking forward to just unwinding and chilling as I write this post; as I have been WAY too busy lately! This here is Hopscotch, and it is a nice kind of red-orange colour. I really enjoy this kind of colour, especially looking at it in different lighting and thinking 'Ooh right now it looks more red than orange' or 'Wow! Now of looks orange again!' Also, it's not quite as common a colour as your typical orange. It's just a really fun, bright colour that I enjoy a lot! Ok, so the formula on this polish was not at all what I was expecting, but kind of in a good way! ...

Teal Nail Polish Comparisons: Essie 'Viva Antigua' vs Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy 'Dealers Choice'

Image
Hi guys! Lately I seem to keep running into nail emergencies! My thumb nail has broken so now it is very, very short and the nail on my ring finger has a break that I have temporarily stuck a false nail over the top of so it doesn't break off completely, but think I am going to try to fix with the teabag/nail glue method (which I have never tried before, so we will see how that goes)! Amongst those devastating nail disasters, I  bring you something else new to this blog, EXTRA DRAMATIC DRUMROLL: A comparison post! Now, in the past I have done comparison posts before, but only in relation to collections. This one here is different, coz it's just two nail polishes that I thought might be similar so I decided to compare them, just for a bit of fun! I shall not delay any further; let's jump right in now and see what we are comparing! There they are! Our subjects of this comparison post; Viva Antigua by Essie and Dealers Choice by Revlon (y'know, the Colorstay Gel Envy ...

Revitanail 'Nourishing Oil' Cuticle Oil Review

Image
Hello everybody! Today I am excited to bring you something that I have never done before; a product review! I love nail care products such as cuticle oil and use them almost constantly, so when I get the chance; I always try and snatch them up! So, I have decided it would be an awesome idea to review one of these products, and as luck would have it; I had recently bought something that fits that dentition very snugly; a cuticle oil by Revitanail called nourishing oil! Ooh! I have never ever tried a cuticle oil from this brand, so this is a very new experience! This oil is not just meant for cuticles; it can be used on nails as well. According to the bottle it is supposed to nourish cuticles and nails as well as moisten them. I was surprised when applying this to my cuticles that it felt quite greasy and oily, which is something that I haven't experienced before in a cuticle oil. The brush was a very good size for application to the cuticle/nail area. But, I found when app...

Essie 'Buy Me A Cameo' and Profusion 'Gold Rush', Just a Random Manicure

Image
Hi all! Welcome to the very first post in my new series 'Just a Random Manicure'. This series is basically looking at well, random manicures that I am wearing or have worn. We are kicking off this series with my latest mani (it's still on my nails now!) Buy Me a Cameo by Essie topped with Gold Rush by Profusion. I have had this on my nails for about two days so far, but unfortunately because I was treating my nails with oil before I put it on, it is now peeling off. Sigh. But! That matters not because I have really enjoyed this combination, it is beautiful! Because Gold Rush is a holographic, I had a real tough time capturing it in my light-box and had to venture out into the sunshine (well, I don't know that you could say sunshine, it was a really cloudy day) and snap some pictures out there in order to try to capture that holographic. And, I was somewhat successful, you can sort of see the holographic-ness. Sort of... but it's still not that accurate. I had ne...

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel 'I Lava You' Pink Nail Polish Swatch and Review

Image
Hey guys! How are you going? Today we will be once again be looking at a polish from the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel range! I have REALLY been looking forward to trying out this polish! And that is because I have a long history with this polish; I once saw it when I was on holidays and I was drawn to it like a magnet, I thought 'Ooh! Pretty polish! I like it',  and then I saw it again a few months later (a few weeks ago)  in the clearance bin (aka the best bin ever) and snatched it up for a bargain bin price! I was interested in this polish because a) it was pink, and b) it had some really pretty shimmer in there! So! This is I Lava You, by of course, Sally Hansen. This is a peachy pink polish with two kinds of shimmery shimmer; pink and gold. Out of the two shimmers, the gold definitely stands out better, the pink is kinds hiding a little bit; I think that it is because of the already pink base that it doesn't stand out quite as much. But still, it is a really pretty pol...

Sinful Colors Vanessa Hudgens Winter Collection Part 2: Comparison post

Image
Hi everyone! How are you guys? I have had such a busy week, so I am really glad to have gotten to the weekend! I am also really glad to be doing this post; none other than the second part of my Sinful Colors Vanessa Hudgens Winter Collection review, aka the comparison post! I wanted to do a comparison post for this collection because I think it is a really great way of seeing how dupe-able a collection is. My specific goal for this collection was to actually compare polishes in this collection against each other, because in the bottle some if them were looking pretty similar to me. But, of course, I am not stopping there! I am also comparing these polishes to others from my collection, just like a regular old comparison! So, with that in mind, let's head off to the first polish in this post! Now, we will be sticking with the original order of polishes from the review posts, so that means that Slay Ride is up first! This polish is a shimmery silver that is a pinch darker than a...
